brokenness

As a lot of you know I have been off work recently and have found things a bit of a struggle.

The Holy Spirit popped the words of a Delirious? song in my mind this morning…..

“We’ve been through fire we’ve been
through rain
We’ve been refined by the power of his name
We’ve fallen deeper in love with you
You’ve burned the truth on our lips

Rise up church with broken wings
Fill this place with songs again
Of our God who reigns on high
By His grace again we’ll fly”

There is real power and real community in brokenness. At St Paul’s we don’t wait to be fixed before reaching out. It is after all only the broken who can be trusted.
